The EduKids Kindergarten Readiness Preschool Program provides your child with foundational skills as guided by New York State for a successful transition into kindergarten. All Preschool and Universal Pre School teachers are highly qualified and skilled professionals with extensive training in planning, developing and presenting exciting & interesting environments and lessons to learn for your preschool child.

Active, thoughtful, investigative experiences are part of the curriculum plan offered to build pre reading, writing & math skills, develop scientific inquiry, creative expression and support friendships.

Our program fosters independence, cooperation and constructive experiences to help prepare your child for Kindergarten.

Our program is structured yet flexible to support your child’s individual needs!

6:30 – 9:00: Children begin their day engaged in play centers that offer dress-up, blocks & construction, books and writing, puzzles and manipulatives.

9:00 – 9:30: Morning snack

9:30 – 10:00: Circle time activities, which include theme development, literacy experiences, skill reviews and story time.

10:00 – 10:45 Music and movement activity / health focus and exercise. Outdoor activities and games; exploring science, thinking about patterns and developing cooperative play skills.

10:45 – 11:45: Small group activities are designed with kindergarten readiness in mind. Exercises include cooperative cognitive games, fine motor and language skill activities, as well as a technology and Spanish   curriculum.

11:45 – 12:15: Our preschoolers gather for a nutritious and delicious family style lunch.

12:15 – 1:00: We take this time to transition into the afternoon with lunch and classroom cleanup, quiet story time, soft music, journal writing and puzzles.

1:00 – 3:00: Time for rest

3:00 – 3:15: Afternoon snack

3:15 – 3:45: Outdoor activities; strengthening muscles, building friendships and expanding skill horizons!

3:45 – 4:45: Children gather for afternoon circle time to review their day, plan ahead and extend the skills and theme ideas of their classroom. Then creative art projects and materials are investigated, centers are open, teacher initiated activities are offered and children are part of the EduKids Enrichment Curriculums in Spanish, Music and Technology.

4:45 – 6:00: Your preschooler begins to wind down and get ready to return home with teacher-led quiet activities and story, print and listening games and activities.

Our program closes at 6:00 P.M.
